Lashings at Eversholt CC this Thursday

Ok, firstly let me assure you that the above headline isn't an invite to a sado-masochistic dungeon. Oh no, this is far less painful! For just a fiver this Thursday 30th July, you can go and watch a star studded team of ex internationals take on Eversholt CC, at their beautiful village ground and in the process help raise a few quid for Prostate Cancer UK. If you haven't been to Eversholt CC before I would seriously recommend it. Just an hour from London or Birmingham, it has featured on our most beautiful grounds on these pages, and with the church overlooking the pavilion, the swimming pool at the other end and an idyllic village setting, it is a great place to settle down for the afternoon.

The Lashings team will include;

1.Phil Defreitas (England)
2. Chris Schofield (England)
3. Wasim Jaffer (India)
4. Tim Mcintosh (New Zealand)
5. Owais Shah (England)
6. Tim Paine (Australia)
7. Adam Hollioake (England)
8. Mohammad Yousaf (Pakistan)
9. John Emburey (England)
10. Tino Best (West Indies)
11. Kirk Edwards (West Indies)
12. Alex Tudor (England)

Coach: Devon Malcolm

A crowd of around 2000 is expected and it really will be a wonderful day. Gates open at 12.30 for a 3pm start and the ground is just a short drive off the M1. With bars, bbq's and plenty of entertainment going on throughout the day this will be a fun filled family day.

Spectators throng the ground in 2014

For further details go and have a look at www.eversholtcricketclub.co.uk and get your tickets there. Free car parking, and a wonderful day out await you I promise.
